Xero Beautiful Business Fund Offers Small Businesses Grants of Up to $690,000

Xero Beautiful Business

Xero, the small business accounting platform, has introduced a new global initiative aimed at bolstering the growth and supporting the future ambitions of small businesses worldwide, with over $690,000 in funding opportunities.

Global Accessibility of the Xero Beautiful Business Fund

Known as the Xero Beautiful Business Fund, this program will be accessible to Xero’s small business clientele in several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the United States, Canada, and the UK. The official launch of the fund, along with a call for entries, is scheduled to coincide with Xerocon Sydney, taking place on August 23-24, 2023.

On the occasion of Xero Day, which marks its 17th anniversary today, Xero boasts a substantial subscriber base of 3.7 million users for its core accounting platform, complemented by payroll, workforce management, expenses, and project-based services.

This fund is specifically tailored to honour small businesses, empower their achievements, and expedite their progress. Customers in each eligible country can apply for funding within the categories that align best with their unique needs.

However, the precise allocation of grant funds to individual companies remains unclear.

Innovating for Sustainability

Small businesses looking to advance their sustainability efforts, such as adopting sustainable packaging, implementing energy-efficient equipment, or adopting carbon-neutral transportation solutions, are encouraged to apply for the ‘Innovating for Sustainability’ category.

Additionally, there is a ‘Trailblazing with Technology’ category aimed at small businesses seeking to enhance their operations by digitizing aspects of their business or integrating emerging technologies.

Other available categories include ‘Strengthening Community Connection,’ which targets small businesses and non-profit organizations striving to enhance their community involvement, whether through philanthropy, social initiatives, or meaningful contributions to the community.

Upskilling for the Future

The ‘Upskilling for the Future’ category is designed for small businesses seeking to invest in upskilling themselves or their employees, enabling access to training and development opportunities for further growth.

Will Buckley, Xero’s Australia country manager, expressed the company’s pride in supporting small businesses and giving back to the community. He emphasized the fundamental role of innovation in fostering a robust small business economy.

Xero CEO Sukhinder Singh Cassidy highlighted the significance of small businesses in the global landscape and emphasized Xero’s commitment to empowering them. The fund offers an opportunity for customers to seek financial support for various endeavors, including sustainability initiatives, employee upskilling, community engagement, and the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies into their operations.

Application Details and Deadline

Applications for the fund, requiring both a written submission and a short video, will be open from August 23, 2023, until the application deadline on October 6, 2023.

The Xero Beautiful Business Fund stands as a beacon of support for small businesses globally, offering tailored opportunities for growth, innovation, and community engagement. With a commitment to empowering small enterprises, Xero eagerly anticipates the inspiring endeavours of business owners and their journeys towards realizing their dreams.
